I am in wifi zone! I'm just uploading some pics and can put more details in later.
our camp spot last night at Rural Rootz Nature Reserve, the home of Tom and Dee.
Labyrinth in their garden
Walk to the Beaver Pond where we saw a white Egret.
The sound garden!
Ollie enjoyed the sound bowls.
Drove through lots of farmland as we wound our way towards Niagara Falls.
Made a detour into a little town to use their free sani-station. It had been too long and the kids and I were finding the smell coming from our bathroom quite unbearable!
so hot and muggy. Found a splash pad at a park where we pulled over for lunch. Splashparks have been a main point of refreshment on our travels.
We were told to have a swim at "The Quarry" in St. Mary's just outside Stratford. Unfortunately, there was no room for Walk-Ins that day and we couldn't go in even for just a swim. It looked pretty neat. Canada's largest freshwater outdoor swimming pool.
They had a wibit set up in the quarry pool.
We drove further towards Stratford and saw that there was a swim possibility at Wildwood Nature Park. We had to pay $15 entry fee to get into the reserve, and found that when we reached the lake, it was really murky and with a slimy entry. We are so spoiled for lakes, that we opted not to go in and go see about the pool they also had on the property.
The pool was small but refreshing! A little busy, but plenty of room to have a splash and a play and a much needed cool down!! We had just over half an hour before it closed.
Our camping spot for the night in Stratford! The beautiful home of our Dairy Farm friends we made in Thunder Bay - Kim and Conroy. They happened to be traveling in their rig to Vancouver so we kind of swapped spots!
