With 107620km on the odometer, we got up early (had packed most things up last night) and set off on for our day at 8:30ish in the morning. Ollie had wanted to try out the mini golf this morning, but it didn't open until after 9am, so I gave him a heads up about that and they chose to stay in bed (upper bunk) while we got on the road and we'd try for mini-golf at another spot.
Driving past Thesselon, we saw a horse drawn buggy enter the highway. We'd see a couple more later on in the day as we drove through Amish country. The other thing we saw is glimpses of Lake Huron, our next Great Lake!
Swing Bridge onto Manitoulin Island
Gum post on the cup and saucer trail.
View from the top of the Cup and Saucer Trail. This is a quarry for the Wiardan Rock... the stuff that looks like soft folded rock.

Next stop after the hike was Bridal Veil Falls just off the highway. A busy popular spot, but a great little stop to walk behind the falls and have swim. Oliver loved the frogs there. While we were in the water, a VERY LARGE snake slunk into the water and swam across the whole pool past people to the other side. It was the biggest snake Jonathan's ever seen in Canada. About as thick as Oliver's arm.

Got to South Baymouth Ferry Terminal about an hour earlier than the 6:30pm required check-in and enjoyed some Big Mouth fish and chips at the port and had a wander around the couple of gift shops.
Nice sunset as we approached Tobermory near the end of the 1.75hr boat ride. Docked at 9:30pm and began our dark drive to Rural Rootz, the Harvest Host we booked for the night on the Bruce Peninsula.
