Continuing on from Bromley Rock we stopped at the Buy Low Foods in Keremeos for dinner and breakfast supplies just before 5:30pm. Oliver chose a flat of Root Beer to finally fulfill his root beer cravings. When we were loading them into the RV he noticed the box was leaking! Oops.
Back on the road we saw all the cool bronze statues that line the highway and made a quick photo stop with the Sasquatch at 7pm. Ollie managed to get right up onto its head!
By 7:20pm we were rolling into Kettle River Campground in Rock Creek. Got site 15 close to the pump track, playground and shower block. Kids took off to the playground right away and Jonathan and I chatted with the “neighbour” in the next closest site… super nice retired couple with two little rescue dogs Mikiluk and KK. Meems had a snuggle with the tiniest one.
Veggie burger and Greek salad dinner quite late and we were too tired for s’mores so had yummy cookies and tucked into bed. Jonathan and Meems snuggled up in the bunk with stories and Ollie curled up in the back bed with me.
A great first day.
