Jonathan and I were in the master bedroom, where Jack's crate is kept. So when I went to bed, we put him in the crate and he seemed fine. Around 12:30am, he was whining and I thought maybe he had to pee, so I opened the crate and he shot out like a bullet and ran downstairs! I hustled down, worried he might pee on something down there and when I got downstairs and peeked into the family room, there he was all snuggled up on the couch with Jonathan!!! Rascal!! Jonathan brought him up again shortly after.
In the morning, Jonathan and I were up first... we didn't get much sleep - awake 4:30am again (this is getting super tedious!). 8am our kiddos were up (they slept on mattresses on the floor of our bedroom). We let them watch movies on Netflix downstairs since their cousins were still in their rooms.
Eventually Uncle Mikey was up, and he made a splendid breakfast feast of eggs and pancakes. Then he and Jonathan went to transport all Mike's stuff to the new place (and clear our our rig in the process, as we couldn't get to anything in there with all the boxes, lol).
The kids and I worked on some gingerbread houses that I had picked up at WalMart for a little activity with the kiddos. Once we got the houses "built", we took the dogs for a drizzly walk over to the local Sweet Shop for some treats. I gave them $20 to spend between them while I held the dogs outside. Jack looked particularly dapper in his ducky raincoat, lol.
Back at the house, they worked on decorating the gingerbread houses until Mike and Jonathan were back. We made sure to store them out of reach of two rascally doggies!
It was decided that for our evening entertainment we'd all go to the Bowling Alley for pizza and snacks and hit the lanes. Mike ordered a large Uber SUV to pick us up and take us to the bowling alley/arcade. This was a super fun evening where everyone was engaged together, animated and enjoying themselves! Fun night x
Caught an Uber home. Amelia and Gillian got back into their lego building. Oliver was bored and Stella was tucked back up in here room. The bedtime was late and our kids were wired and quite naughty after all the excitement of the evening and staying up late. Frustrating bedtime. doh. Jonathan and Mike had a hangout visit in the hot tub till late.
