DAY 86 : October 1/22 Saturday. Cherry Hill RV Park, Maryland (night 4!)

Another rainy morning. Happy October 1st! Wow. October! Sure feels like fall around here. Seems that at home it's been crisp and lovely. Here we are experiencing effects from the hurricane. Sigh.

Had a sleep in morning, Amelia coming to snuggle in our bed for while. Eventually I got up and started to make coffee (this is usually Jonathan's job, but this morning he stayed in bed and snuggled Meems where it's nice and warm).

Hurricane Ian is dominating our thoughts. We feel in limbo a bit here. Decided to stick it out here another night before committing to move along to Virginia tomorrow. With the rain and dreary weather, it seemed like a good movie day. Found a theatre in Wheaton, nearby, that was playing Minions: Rise of Gru which was also located in a mall and near a Target. We went to the 1:30pm showing at the AMC (along with about 8 other people) and enjoyed the discount matinee pricing and the super lounger seating.

After the movie we walked to the Target with high hopes for fun halloween stuff and great pricing. The halloween aisles had some fun things, but the pricing was not as anticipated. Got lots of fun ideas though for when we want to spook up the RV and find a great place to trick or treat.

Found there was a Giant grocery store nearby and Meems and I walked over to it, while Jonathan and Oliver hung out in the GameStop store then drove over to pick us up. The Giant was not as we had hoped but it worked out okay for most things we needed.

Back to Cherry Hill for a 4th night, and we hit the pool again (I declined the pool this time) and then the hot tub. I left Jonathan and kids in the hot tub while I went for a shower and then back to the RV to prep some dinner. I had bought a green curry "kit" and thought I'd give it a try this evening.

They got back to the rig after their showers and then Ollie and Jsy went to the arcade and took with them a large load of towels and extra laundry to throw in while they played. They swapped it over before coming back to the RV for dinner (a success). I was ready for bed early, so Jonathan zipped down to the laundry room to get our stuff from the dryer.

Here is another little image that Ollie put together of our hamster, Mr. Nibbles, in a manhole. (for the record, Nibbles is not on our trip with us... he's been lovingly cared for by my parents)  Also below is a drawing Amelia did of some halloween scary houses, and also another photo edit by Oliver of the time that Amelia joined in a mexican wrestling match. haha.
