DAY 85 : September 30/22 Friday. Cherry Hill RV Park, Maryland (night 3)

Weather is rainy and cool. We are still unsure of where to head... Cape Hatteras is in our near future for plans but we are very wary of where Hurricane Ian is going to continue. Seems safest just to stay here again and chill, so we booked another night, gulp.

Kiddos crawled into our bed for snuggles and didn't want to leave. Because we have good wifi here, they commandeered the laptop for a bit looking up Mark Rober videos, and world's biggest machines. I snapped a view of our kitchen and master "bedroom" haha from the dinette. Pretty cozy digs. It's been 85 days in this little 24ft rig, and I must say, it still feels very much like home to us.

We had a chill cozy morning hanging out, then doing some homework. Jonathan has been doing some great work with the kiddos with their math. It's been a learning process on both sides, for sure, but we're getting there!

Oliver has also been allowed to download a gif maker app on our old phone that he has music on. He's very excited about it and has been enjoying creating gifs to send to friends and family. Here's a couple if they work on this platform.

Ollie and I went to explore the Nature Trail around the campground while the rain had held off. The little "camping pods" they have here are adorable! beautifully crafted wooden huts with 4 bunks inside and a little front veranda. Very cute. We followed the trail through the woods and around part of the campground back to the office where we deked back to the Cafe and Arcade by the pool to play some video games. Ollie and I played MarioKart, and he gave a shot at the Wizard of Oz pinball machine.

When I texted Jonathan to report we were at the arcade (he and meems thought they might meet us), he replied that they were busy. When Ollie and I walked back to the rig, we found that Meems was enjoying her much awaited Daddy Spa, having a pedicure done. Very cute. She now has ruby red toenails! Jonathan has one royal blue one, and Oliver couldn't resist having one of his feet done with royal blue as well.

After our casual morning, we did more schoolwork while the weather was dreary and by 3:15pm decided to hit the pool (solar heated but NOT warm by any means, lol). We called the office to see if Bill was working and could give us a shuttle tour around the campground, but alas, the shuttle was not running today. bummer. Bill was cool (the gatekeeper when we first arrived) and we had hoped to enjoy his company during our visit. We walked down to the pool and the young lifeguard was sat in his post, but the pool was covered. He happily obliged to uncover it for us, with Jonathan's assistance. We swam in the chilly water - Amelia is an absolute fish these days. First in, last out. Oliver was happily jumping in and making gifs.

Followed the chilly swim with a nice hot tub, and then showers. Back to the rig to hangout for the evening. Rain ensued. I wrote some postcards, Ollie worked on his gifs, Amelia worked on the intricate details of another board game she's inventing. Jonathan researched Virginia as our next stop, and we continued our Hurricane Ian watch.

I liked this "poster" I found online. Placing here as a reminder for our Growth Mindset attitudes.
