DAY 78 : September 23/22 Friday. West Hartford, Connecticut

Breakfast of Champions prepared by Amelia. She slices a mean banana. Yum.

Inside the Fletcher residence for some tolerated pets for Yankee girl.

Meems had a hoot playing with Emerson's new "upside-down glasses" and they both had a lot of giggles while testing their upside-down skills using the accompanying cards. Amelia also spent a good portion of the afternoon/evening playing with the straw/star connectors. She made quite an array of animals and vehicles (even a unicycle) and did lots of sorting. She lit up when Becky asked her if she'd like to take them home with her. And they fit inside half a large ziplock bag! Win-Win!

The weather was much nicer today, and Becky and I got out for a quick lunchtime walk with the dog for a great catch up. Jonathan worked on trying to get our automatic stairs to retract when the ignition was turned on... we are still having some trouble remembering about putting the stairs in! Still! sheesh.

Around 3pm, I accompanied Becky for a little drive into the Centre of West Hartford while she went for her work out. I got more stamps at the post office and mailed some post cards, then had a nice little wander around the town centre. I wasn't in the mood (or budget, or storage space) for clothing shopping, but there were some very nice little stores I window-shopped from. Becky and I met up again after and we drove to Whole Foods to get dinner makings.

Lachlan had gone out with friends to the high school football game, which left Ollie and Emerson soaking up more bonus screen time, and Amelia kept herself entertained with the straws. We had a delicious salmon and salad dinner, then Jonathan and Becky and Duncan and I all hung out and had a great visit.
